Fictioning and Designing Planetary Public Health
Dr. Sneha Krishnan is a Professor at the Jindal School of Public Health and Human Development at OP Jindal Global University, where she researches environmental and public health issues in contexts of conflict, displacement, and post-disaster recovery across Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from University College London, focusing on community resilience to disasters and conflicts. As the founder of ETCH (Environment, Technology and Community Health) Consultancy Services, Dr. Krishnan advocates for women, children, and marginalized groups in environmental and public health. Her work is driven by a passion for addressing inequities and fostering sustainable development.
In addition to her academic and consultancy work, Dr. Krishnan is actively involved in studying cinema and culture. She writes about films and curates screenings for the festivals organised by Film Society Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Through her writings on films, she explores themes related to health, environment, and human rights, enriching community dialogue and promoting critical discussions on pressing global issues.
